Metuchen, NJ – June 23, 2017: The Conyers, Georgia location of C+K Plastics, Inc., a leading manufacturer of thermoformed plastic products and assemblies for the aerospace, medical, agricultural equipment, refrigeration, petroleum, and other industries, achieved certification to the ISO 9001:2008 standard on May 25.
C+K has long been certified to ISO 9001, the international standard that specifies Quality Management System (QMS) requirements. Organizations around the world rely on the ISO standard to consistently provide products and services that meet customer and regulatory requirements by organizing their QMSs and pursuing continual improvement.
The 2008 standard is the next step in the evolution of ISO 9001; it is meant to ensure that companies continue to adapt to the changing environments in which they operate. In particular, it has an emphasis on risk-based thinking to enhance the application of the process approach, improved applicability for services, and increased leadership requirements.
“The ISO 2008 certification ensures more of the same for our customers,” says C+K’s President, Bob Carrier. “We committed to gaining 2008 compliance when we expanded to Georgia, and now we have formalized the seamless integration of our two facilities. With standardized, duplicate equipment in Metuchen and Conyers, we can now meet customer production requirements and timelines with ease.”
David Grice, C+K’s Vice President Sales and Marketing, says achieving ISO 9001:2008 emphasizes the company’s quality-centric mindset.
“Quality is the foundation on which C+K has built its reputation and success,” says Grice. “With ISO 2008 guiding the integration of our Metuchen and Conyers sites, we will be able to continue delivering that quality with an even more agile production model.”
C+K Plastics, Inc. is recognized as one of the most experienced thermoforming companies in the market today.
