Production Manager

Heavy Gauge Thermoforming Experience Required
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Directs and coordinates, through subordinate personnel, activities concerned with production of company products.
  • Confers with management to establish production and quality standards, supervises cost control measures.
  • Plans and directs production activities with procurement, maintenance, and quality control to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines, and equipment.
  • Responsible for all aspects of employee safety.
  • Develops and implements operating methods and procedures designed to eliminate operating problems and improve product quality.
  • Supervises subordinates in the plant.
  • Review and process relevant paperwork.
  • Ensure that employees receive proper training and updates to training as required
  • Complete employee evaluations yearly
  • Understand and utilize employee discipline program
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
  • Communicate with all levels of employees in a professional manner
  • Other duties as assigned
REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Bachelors level degree in Operations or Engineering and a minimum of five years industry experience in a similar role.

Knowledge and use of statistics and sampling techniques.

Able to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions.

Effective oral and written communications skills.

Quality Assistant Manager

C&K Plastics, Inc., a World Class, ISO 9001-2008 / 2015 registered Thermoforming Company located in Conyers, GA., is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Quality Assistant manager.

Responsibilities:
  • Use instruments to check and verify finished and in-process thermoformed parts.
  • Perform Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) or Production readiness audits as required.
  • Perform audits of in-process activities to ensure that written processes are being observed.
  • Issue reports pertaining to quality issues, such as non-conformance reports (NCR).
  • Analyze data including but not limited to, incoming quality audits, in-process audits and packed set audit findings for purposes of initiating corrective action.
  • Complete necessary transactions, paperwork and records.
  • Maintain clean and orderly work area.
  • Initiate product holds and releases product from hold when authorized.
  • Review rejects and determines responsibility for quality problems as required.
  • Perform other duties as required.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Supplier Quality Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, etc) to initiate corrective actions, discuss problems and drive and report corrective and preventative action.
  • Able to maintain the current calibration system and to calibrate hand tools to Master standards and record the results as needed.
Requirements:
  • Qualified candidates must have 3+ Years of experience and be proficient in using measuring equipment (Height Gauges, Calipers, micrometers and steel rules).
  • Ensure product conformity through defined inspection operations using 3D Model Geometry, Drawings, Customer Specifications, and Standards.
  • Advanced Blueprint Reading, including understanding of Geometric Dimension & Tolerance methods. Manufacturing/inspection related math skills is a must.
  • Good attention to detail; the ability to work with others and the willingness to learn new skills.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to read, follow, and interpret planning and work order instructions.
  • Able to lift up to 40 lbs
  • Willing and able to work overtime as needed
  • Experience with ISO standards a plus
  • Prior knowledge of thermoforming a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Word and Excel

Job Description

Process Engineer needed for a custom Heavy Gauge Thermoforming company

Required
  • Plastics Processing and Heavy Gauge Thermoforming Experience is required. Familiarity with pressure forming and twin-sheet thermoforming a plus.
  • Ability to Conceptualize, Model, Prototype, Test, Troubleshoot and Produce new thermoformed products.
  • Background in designing heavy gauge thermoformed parts is required. Solid Works preferred.
  • Must be able to lead and take initiative in a manufacturing environment.
Duties
  • Work with upper management, engineering, model shop, sales and customers to create new products
Beneficial:
  • 5-axis or Robotic CNC Programming ability
  • MasterCam proficiency
  • Model and Machine shop experience
